Hi there! My name is Jason King and first let me say that I’m genuinely excited to be making this first post now that I have something to share that will benefit you. Me = well paid corporate executive — “Hello financial meltdown” — “Goodbye twenty year career”! So finding myself unemployed, kicking down the door of middle-age and with nobody hiring; something had to be done. I decided to look into finding a way of earning my income from home as a freelancer in my home based office — I discovered quickly that the life and the general pursuit for wealth and happiness of a freelancer or virtual assistant is fraught with dangers and false promises. The first few months was really tough with weeks of no sleep trawling through the absolute minefield out there; you type in those words work from home or freelancer or virtual assistant into your search engine and you are completely overwhelmed with information. There are some awful scams out there; and I’m not just talking about the over abundance of false promises and misleading information but there are some real dirty tricksters as well that are experts in making you an unwitting party in illegal activity (Okay it happened once and I’ll tell you all about that farce in three acts another time). When I first started my armchaire really was my office, but nearly two years after it all began and I’m actually making a living — OK I have not quite made my way back to the $120,000 level yet but my quality of life has increased a squillion fold and I’m hitting all the goals I set out when I first wrote my business plan. I don’t claim to be any kind of Guru, but I do know that I can help anyone make it as a freelancer and achieve their financial goals in a well planned and well run home based office business.
